Abstract
An expansion valvecomprises a piping memberhaving passages to which pipes for refrigerant are connected, and a cassette unit, which are formed as separate components. The cassette unitcomprises a flange portionand a tube memberwhich are welded together, and to the interior of which are fixed a guide member, an orifice memberand a plate member. According to the pressure of gas filled in a gas charge chamberdefined by a lidand a diaphragm, the diaphragmis displaced, the movement of which is transmitted through a stopperto a shaft member. The shaft memberis guided by a guide memberand drives a valve memberdisposed within a valve chamber. The cassette unitis inserted to the piping memberand fixed by a ring. Seal membersare fit to necessary areas.
