Abstract

A head () comprises a body (), a face (), a neck () and a crown (). The crown () includes an outer plate () and an inner plate (). The outer plate () and the inner plate () are opposed to each other with a gap provided therebetween. The outer plate () and the inner plate () are formed of a titanium alloy. The inner plate () has a projection (). The upper end of the projection () abuts on the lower surface of the outer plate (). The projection () and the outer plate () are bonded to each other by a spot welding method. The outer plate () and the inner plate () have thicknesses of 0.1 mm to 0.6 mm, respectively. The head () has a volume of 300 cmor more. A portion between the outer plate () and the inner plate () maybe filled with a synthetic resin.
