Abstract

A saw () facilitates cutting of roofing and includes a frame () that is mobile on a work surface. A locking mechanism () locks the frame () into a transport position. Actuating a release lever () allows the frame () to be adjusted into a working position. A shaft () rotatably mounted by first, second and third bearings () has saw blades () and a pulley () for connection with a drive belt (). The drive belt () passes through a hole () in the frame () to connect to a drive () to rotate the shaft () and the saw blades (). The third bearing () is mounted to a bearing support (). The frame () has a gap () communicating the hole () with an exterior edge () of the frame () proximate the third bearing (), with the bearing support () removably and replaceably mounted to the frame () and spanning the gap (). When the bearing support () is removed from the frame (), the third bearing () is void of attachments to the frame (), and the drive belt () may be passed over the access end () of the shaft () and over the third bearing () and into the hole () to access the pulley () while the first, second and third bearings () remain in position on the shaft () to expedite drive belt replacement.
