Abstract

CPUof a facsimile device, when detects a transfer command from a calling side, stores 'box No.', 'identification No.' and “Telephone number of transfer destination” of the transfer command in RAM, judges the effectiveness of “box No.”, that is, adequacy of the specification method. When the specification method of the box No. of the transfer command is wrong (S: No), or when there is no memory box accompanied with the box No. (S: No), or when no image data is registered in the relevant memory box (S: No), or when “identification No.” of the transfer command is wrong (S: No), the operation manual and the image data for registered information guide of the bulletin board box are transmitted to the calling side (S, S).
