Abstract
An axial plunging unit for torque transmission within a driveline which includes a profiled journal () with first circumferentially distributed longitudinally extending ball grooves (), a profiled sleeve () with second circumferentially distributed longitudinally extending ball grooves (), balls () which are arranged in pairs of first and second ball grooves () in identical groups, and a supporting and attaching sleeve () which is slid on to the profiled sleeve () so as to ensure the transmission of torque.
