Abstract
A wireless notification apparatus, system and method provide notifications to a user relating to e-mails, voice messages, meeting and calendar reminders, or any combination thereof, when the user is away from the user's desk, computer, workstation, or the like. The notification system may include a notification device and a base station. The notification device may have a microprocessor, a display for displaying data, and a wireless receiver for receiving wireless data, the microprocessor coupled with the display and the wireless receiver. The base station may include a wireless transmitter for transmitting data to the wireless receiver when an event has occurred at the user's desk. In this manner, the wireless notification system provides time sensitive data—such as meeting reminders, calendar reminders, voice message information, or email information—to the intended recipient even when the intended recipient is away from his or her desk.
