Abstract

A ball-and-socket joint () is provided with a sleeve () or a pivot () with a partial spherical surface () and with a bearing shell () surrounding the partial spherical surface () in a positive-locking manner with a hollow spherical bearing surface (). The bearing surface () is arranged in a two-part housing (), whose housing halves () have locking elements () with detents () and locking grooves () mutually engaging one another, which lock the two housing halves () with one another in a relatively immovable manner in the direction of the longitudinal axis () of the sleeve () or of the pivot () in their final assembled position. The bearing surface () for the partial spherical surface () of the sleeve () or of the pivot () is integrated in the inner surfaces of the two housing halves () and these () are surrounded on their outer surfaces () by a metallic ring element () in a positive-locking manner.
