Abstract
A fuel capincludes a casing, a handlemounted on an upper portion of the casingcomposed of a non-conductive resin material, and grounding mechanism composed of a conductive material. The grounding mechanism includes a contact memberthat is attached to the handleand is arranged at a position to be in contact with the handlewhen the handleis held with fingers, and a tetherthat is linked with the contact memberand is used for connection with a fueling lid. When the user grasps an operating portionof the handle, the user touches archesof the contact memberand the static electricity accumulated in the user is grounded through the tether. The fuel capof this simple structure does not require the high accuracy of dimensions to form the grounding means and attains the sufficient shock resistance.
