Abstract

The present invention provides a display apparatus that can reduce a voltage irregularity and a brightness irregularity accompanied by making an enlarged and a high resolution type display apparatus. The display apparatus comprises plural pixel electrodesarranged in a matrix, a switching elementconnected with the pixel electrode, a scanning electrode, a picture signal electrode, an opposite electrode forming a capacitance with the pixel electrode, and further comprising; a storage capacitancebetween the pixel electrodeand the scanning electrodeother than the scanning electrodeof the present line; more than two capacitance elements connected with the pixel electrode, including at least one of a gate-drain inter-electrode capacitanceof the switching elementand the storage capacitance, having a different value according to the distance from the power feeding edge of the scanning electrode; wherein, each capacitance in each pixel is set so that, when all capacitance connected with the pixel electrodein a pixel is denoted as Ctot, a first capacitance ratio α gd=Cgd/Ctot increases continuously or in stages according to the distance from the power feeding edge of the scanning electrode, or a second capacitance ratio α st=Cst/Ctot is substantially constant.
