Abstract

Output amplifier stage () of a high frequency generator () with tube () operating in class B or C has its output () looped back on the input () by means of a coaxial line () with a length equal to approximately the wave length corresponding to the operating frequency. The apparent gain of the amplifier stage () is thus increased and the output power from an intermediate amplifier () can be correspondingly reduced, amplifying a stable signal at the operating frequency.
