Abstract
A hydrostatic drive () with a hydraulic pump () and a plurality of hydraulic motors () that are hydraulically linked with the hydraulic pump (). One speed sensor () each allocated to a respective hydraulic motor () and is linked with a control device () and detects the speed (n; n; n; n) of the allocated hydraulic motor (). Every hydraulic motor () is functionally linked with a brake device () that in turn is linked with the control device (). When the speed (n; n; n; n) of one of the hydraulic motors () exceeds a predetermined threshold value (n), the control device () triggers the brake device () allocated to the associated hydraulic motor ().
