Abstract
Disclosed is a medical particle irradiation apparatus comprising a rotating gantryincluding an irradiation unitemitting particle beams; an annular framelocated within and supported by the rotating gantrysuch that it can rotate relative to the rotating gantry; an annular framefixedly located opposite the annular frame; an anti-corotation mechanismbeing in contact with both the annular framesandto prevent the annular framefrom rotating together with the rotating gantryduring rotation of the rotating gantry; and a flexible moving floorinterposed between the annular framesand, the flexible moving floorbeing engaged with the annular framesandin such a manner as to move freely such that its bottom is substantially level and that it moves as the rotating gantry rotates.
