Abstract
In an auxiliary safety sensorwhich has a first sensor set composed of a first transmitterand a first receiverlocated opposite to each other and a second sensor set composed of a second transmitterand a second receiverlocated opposite to each other, a test operation is performed by emitting a light beam only from the first transmitter. The state of misconnection is confirmed when a connection pointfor the first receiverdoes not receive predetermined light acceptance data for the amount of received light.
