Abstract
A housing () for a spatial light modulator () includes a first frame () for supporting the spatial light modulator () in the path of an incident illumination beam. A second frame () having an aperture () is fitted against the first frame () and provides a support element for disposing an optical component such as a compensator () proximate the aperture (). The support element is rotatably adjustable about an axis.
