Abstract
An electrochemical conversion system () is disclosed having a housing () defining an opening () and an internal chamber (). An electrochemical cell () is mounted within the opening () which is electrically coupled to a circuit (). A mass of metal hydride material () is positioned within the chamber (). The circuit () includes a load () and a battery () electrically coupled in series. The system may also be adapted to generate DC power with the addition of a rectifier ().
