Abstract
A water pump includes an engage mechanismwhich is disposed between a pump bodyand the end portion of a pump shaftopposite to the side where an impelleris attached, while engaging the pump shaft to the pump body against the urging force of the urging member which urges a mechanical seal. The engage mechanism includes an annular memberwhich is rotatably fitted to the pump shaftwhile contacting the pump body, and a cylindrical engage pinwhich pierces the pump shaftin the diameter direction while sandwiching the annular memberwith the pump body
