Abstract
A first sequence state storage module () periodically stores a present state () of a long code generator (). Following a restoration of power after a power cut condition, or following the termination of any other interruption of the generation of the long code, a sequence recovery module () then provides an updated present state (). The updated present state () is based upon a stored present state () and a time value () that is reset whenever the present state () of the long code or other sequence is stored and that is available even when the long code or other sequence is interrupted.
