Abstract
The transport member of the present invention is a laminate of skin and core layers made of CFRP. The skin layer comprises a prepreg made of a pitch type carbon fiber, oriented by −20° to +20° with respect to a longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the transport member, having a tensile elasticity of 500 to 1000 GPa; and a prepreg of PAN type carbon fiber, oriented by +75° to +90° and/or −75° to −90° with respect to the longitudinal direction, having a tensile elasticity of 200 to 400 GPa. As a consequence, a transport member which is light in weight, easy to handle, while being excellent in its bending rigidity, vibration damping characteristic, and heat resistance can be obtained.
