Abstract
An expansion valvecomprises a piping memberhaving passages to which pipes for a refrigerant are connected, and a cassette unit, which are formed as separate components. The cassette unitcomprises a tube memberaccommodating a guide member, an orifice memberand a plate member. A diaphragmsandwiched between a rising portionof a lidand an endof the tube memberand defining a gas charge chamberis displaced, the movement of which is transmitted to a shaft member. The shaft memberis guided by a guide memberand drives a valve memberdisposed within a valve chamber. The cassette unitis inserted to the piping memberand fixed by a ring. Seal membersare disposed to necessary areas.
