Abstract
A polybenzazole fiber having a compression strength is not less than 0.5 GPa, which contains a carbon nanotube having an outer of not more than 20 nm and a length of 0.5 μm-10 μm inside the fiber in a proportion of 1-15% by weight. Such polybenzazole fiber has conventionally unavailable high strength and high elastic modulus at the same time, as well as a specific fine fiber structure, and is useful as various industrial materials.
