Abstract
An electrical connector () comprises an insulator () having an upper surface () and a plurality of contacts () each having a contact portion (). The contacts () are held by the insulator () so that the contact portions () project from the upper surface () of the insulator (). Each contact () further comprises first to third guide portions () which extend downwardly and diagonally across the upper surface () of the insulator () in different directions. Terminating ends () of the first to the third guide portions () are laid below the upper surface () of the insulator ().
