Abstract
A start assister () of a fuel injection pump, comprising a piston () inlayed into a housing (H), an upper chamber () formed over the piston (), lower chamber () formed under the piston (), wherein a sub port () is opened and closed by sliding of the piston (), and a fuel injection timing is advanced by closing the sub port (). A thermo-element () for sliding the piston is arranged on one side of the piston () in sliding direction. A telescopic pin () of the thermo-element () is arranged in a low-pressure chamber () divided into the upper chamber and the lower chamber, and a connection pin () is interposed between the telescopic pin () and the piston ().
