Abstract
An apparatus for and method of providing a seal () for a movable rod () is described. The seal includes a flexible material () and a rigid seat () that may be utilized as a spring seat. The flexible material () has an opening with annular grooves and/or bumps () that provide a seal with the rod () when it moves axially and/or non-axially, for example, within a cylinder () in which the rod () and seal () are disposed.
