Abstract
The present invention provides a lidfor a beverage cup. The lidhas a generally annular side wall, a ribdepending from the side wall, and a top wallextending radially inward from the side wall. The lidfurther includes a central regionpositioned radially inward of the top wall. The central regionhas a wellwith a notched portion. The lidalso includes a projectionextending from a portion of the side wall. A living hinge formed by a line of weakness at the baseof the projectionpermits the projectionto pivoted between an open position and a closed position. The central regionhas a shoulder portionthat engages the tipof the projectionto secure the projectionin the open position.
