Abstract
Synthetic platelet storage media is disclosed for use with blood preparations intended for in vivo use. The synthetic platelet storage media is prepared by providing sodium chloride, sodium citrate, sodium acetate and sodium phosphate, and formulating in water 45-120 mM sodium chloride, 5-15 mM sodium citrate, 20-40 mM sodium acetate and 20-30 mM sodium phosphate.
