Abstract
A ceiling fan quick connect blade iron system () is disclosed which is coupled to a conventional ceiling fan electric motor () having a lower portion (). The motor lower portion has an annular array of threaded mounting holes () therein. A post () having a stem () and a head () is mounted within each mounting hole () and extends through a S-shaped spring (). The blade iron system also includes a blade iron () having a motor mounting flange () and a blade mounting portion (). The motor mounting portion has a vertical portion () extending to a horizontal portion (). The motor mounting portion has a pair of slots () which have an enlarged, peripheral portion () that extends through the vertical portion () to a narrow, inboard portion () that extends through the horizontal portion (). The horizontal portion () also includes a recess () about each narrow portion ().
