Abstract
In a wireless communication device, a preferably mesh, metal ground planeserves both as an antenna ground plane or as an acoustic resistor for conditioning sound that passes through a sound port. The metal ground planeis located between a sound transducerand a sound port, but the metal ground planedoes not block sound due to openings in the mesh of the ground plane.
