Abstract
A process for producing a fluoroalkanol which can easily be industrially practiced with high selectivity, is provided. CHRROH, a radical initiator and CF═CFRare continuously supplied and reacted at from 105 to 135° C., and H—(RCFCF)—CRR—OH formed, is continuously discharged. Here, each of Rand Ris a hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group, Ris a fluorine atom or a Cpolyfluoroalkyl group, and n is an integer of from 1 to 4.
