Abstract
A flexible laminate is disclosed which includes a flexible support as a first layer and glass having a thickness in the range from 10 μm to 500 μm as a second layer and wherein the first or the second layer is a non-continuous, segmented layer. In the embodiment of the figure, a plastic foilis provided with a plurality of thin adjacent glass segments, which are separated by a space. The laminate can be provided with functional layers, e.g. using a web coating or printing process, and can then be cut easily in the space between the segments so as to obtain a plurality of glass laminates.
