Abstract

A knitting tool (), particular for high-speed knitting machines, has a shank () that is provided with indentations (). For embodying these indentations, the shank () is provided with a slit (), which creates two legs () spaced apart from one another. These legs are bent toward one another so that the desired indentations are created at the flanks (). The indentations serve to reduce friction and to hold oil.
