Abstract

The aim of the invention is to provide prior art equipment, especially for firemen, in the form of helmets () and/or breathing masks () with a display unit for infrared images. A mask () for displaying images on a display () is provided, whereby the images are recorded by a camera (). The inventive mask comprises a frame () having a seal () that, when the mask () is used, rests on an assigned bearing surface (), e.g. the visor () of a breathing mask (), in such a way that a sealed chamber () is formed between the mask () and the bearing surface ().
