Abstract
A magnetic tape cartridge includes an openingC through which a magnetic tape is drawn out, and a slide doorthat slides along a sidewallD provided with the openingC to open and close the openingC. The openingC is provided in part of the sidewallD across a lower halfA and an upper halfB of the cartridge case. At least one of a lower half portion and an upper half portion of the sidewall is provided with a holding grooveL that receives a front end portionA of the slide doorwhen the opening is closed. Therefore, the upper halfB and the lower halfA of the magnetic tape cartridge may be smoothly combined.
