Abstract
Optical cable () for telecommunications, having low PMD and attenuation values, said cable comprising a central element (), a plurality of optical fibres () and a layer of polymer material () devoid of discontinuities and incorporating both the central element () and the optical fibres, each of the optical fibres () being ranged along an open helix trajectory along which it has a torsion with a mean value of zero and a local maximum value of between 0.05 turns/m and 1 turns/m.
