Abstract

A dual-band antenna device for a portable radio communication device () comprises an inner () and an outer () generally planar radiating element portion. The inner portion is galvanically ungrounded and connectable to feed and the outer portion is connectable to ground. The element portions are essentially coplanar and separated by a gap ('), wherein the outer element portion () surrounds the inner element portion (). With this configuration desired antenna characteristics are obtainable in a controlled way. A portable radio communication device and a method for separate adjustment of the frequency bands are also provided.
