Abstract
A solar cell with buried contacts in recesses () on a first surface (). On a lateral face (), a metal layer () is produced. The metal layer () extends into a lateral zone () of a second surface () opposite the first surface (). The metal layer serves as a first electrode (). On the second surface () a second electrode (), electrically separate from the first electrode (), is produced so that the solar cell is provided with a back connection.
