Abstract
The present invention has for its object to provide an antifouling coating improved in such a manner that the coating film formed therefrom may retain a steady polishing rate over a long period and be not ready to develop cracks and other defects, thus exhibiting a excellent long-term antifouling performance. The composition contains an acrylic resin having at least one group represented by the following general formula (1):(wherein R, Rand Rmay be the same or different and each represents a hydrocarbon residue of 1 to 20 carbon atoms) in its side chain and additionally at least one group represented by the following general formula (2):(wherein x is a group represented by the formula:n is equal to 0 or 1; Y represents a hydrocarbon; M represents a divalent metal; and A represents a monobasic organic acid residue) in its side chain.
