A seat belt restraint system for a vehicle occupant () seated in a vehicle seat (), more specifically for both an adult and a child or a person of small stature. The seat belt restraint system includes a conventional three-point seat belt restraint system () for an occupant of normal size and an adjusting mechanism () adapted to provide additional fixation points on seat belt webbing (), more specifically on shoulder belt (), and adapted to adjust the departure angle at which shoulder belt () extends across the body of a child or a person of small stature.
