Abstract
An igniter includes a child resistant safety locking trigger. The trigger is provided with a release slider which is movable along the trigger body along a path arranged at an angle to the path of travel of the trigger body when being depressed for activation of the igniter. A stop member within the igniter prevents operation of the trigger until the release slider is moved to a release position.
