Abstract
A building () includes square columns () disposed in such a manner as to extend in a vertical direction so as to support the vertical load of the building (); girders () disposed in such a manner as to bridge the square columns () and extend in the horizontal direction between the square columns (); variation damping means () juxtaposed to opposing side surfaces () and () of each square column () on each floor of the building (); and upper and lower connecting means () and () for connecting the vibration damping means () to a ceiling girder () side and a floor girder () side, respectively.
