Power disruption apparatus for a radiation lamp

Abstract

Radiation module () comprises a power disruption apparatus () for a radiation lamp () to disinfect a fluid passing through a conduit (). Radiation lamp () includes lamp base () that supports lamp tubing () at one end thereof, terminal pins () and flange () disposed about lamp base (). Power disruption apparatus () includes mounting plate () provided with opening () for registry with opening () in duct (). Openings () are sized to receive lamp tubing () therethrough. Flange () interfaces with mounting plate () to restrict axial movement of lamp base () into duct (). Module () also includes compression nut () for detachably securing lamp base () to mounting plate (), and electrical socket () for receiving terminal pins (). Electrical socket () is detachably mounted to compression nut () in a manner that prevents detachment of compression nut () from mounting plate () for the removal of radiation lamp () from duct () without prior detachment of electrical socket () from electrical pins ().
