Abstract

An installation for protecting water pipes is easily installed, even in areas of a water pipe wall where bends exist, can be inexpensively manufactured, and delivers stable longevity in high temperature environments. A refractory castable process embeds refractory castablein concave areas between adjacent water pipes, at least in bend areaswhere the pipes bend, to create an approximately flat surface on the water pipe wallthat faces the high temperature side. A refractory tile process installs approximately flat-shaped refractory tilesover the surface of the embedded refractory castableThis refractory tile process for the refractory tileincludes a process to insert fastening memberspreviously installed on the foregoing water pipeinto a groove formed in the refractory tilesto hold the tiles in place and a process to bind the refractory tilesto the embedded refractory castable with an adhesive material.
