Abstract
The invention relates to coloring and toning agents for keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, comprising at least one hydroxyanthraquinone derivative of formula (I), as a direct dye, in a cosmetically acceptable vehicle, where R=a group of formula (II), where R to R =independently, H; OH; C to C alkoxy; C to C alkyl; C to C fluoroalkyl; carboxy; NO ; halogen; a group of formula SR , where R =H or C in C alkyl; a group of formula PhCH —COOR , where R =H, C to C alkyl or a physiologically acceptable cation or, any two neighboring groups of R to R form a methylenedioxy rin and X=halogen. The inventive agents permit hair coloring with outstanding fastness.
