Abstract
In order to design a blast furnace in a space and cost-saving manner, the invention provides for an especially compact blast furnace ( ) having no hearth, wherein the burden is transported to the charging platform by vertical conveyers ( ) and a compactly designed burdening ( ) and pouring bay ( ) are placed in the immediate proximity of said installation.
