Abstract

A phosphor powder is composed of a host material made of an element coming under the group II of the periodic table and an element coming under the group VI of the periodic table, an activator and a co-activator, the amount ratio of the activator to the host material is 1×10 to 1×10 parts by weight when the amount ratio of the host material is 1 part by weight, and the co-activator has a molar concentration equal to a molar concentration of the activator.
