Abstract

This invention is directed to a class of miniribozymes, capable of hybridizing with a target RNA to be cleaved and exhibiting very high cleavage rates at low Mg concentration. The miniribozymes may be used in vitro or in vivo. They may be used as diagnostic or therapeutic agents.
