Abstract
A disk player compatible with two types of large and small diameter disks is provided. A startup arm is transversely moved by a selection arm turned by abutment of a side edge of a large diameter disk . Then, the startup arm turning together with a shift bar moved to be pushed at the front edge of the disk is longitudinally moved. A cam follower pin is engagingly locked with a pocket by a spring , and the startup arm is constrained in cooperation with a swivel shaft , whereby the shift bar is restricted, and the center of the large diameter disk is positioned. The small diameter disk restricts the shift bar by the startup arm by which the cam follower pin is engagingly locked with the pocket by the spring irrespective of the selection arm . The center of the small diameter disk is positioned at the same central position as that of the large diameter disk.
