Abstract
Disclosed are an optical information recording/reproducing apparatus and an optical information recording/reproducing method for simultaneously optimizing a distance between lenses constituting a two-objective lens and an offset in focus control. The apparatus includes a first electromagnetic actuator and a second electromagnetic actuator for cyclically moving a first lens and a second lens in the direction of the optical axis thereof; and a position control circuit for performing, upon focusing operation, the positional adjustment of the first lens and the second lens after start-up of focus control, on the basis of reproducing signals obtained from an optical disk at both ends of the cyclic movement of the first and second lenses by the first and second electromagnetic actuators.
