Abstract
A display device includes a PDP having sub-pixels (C) arranged in a delta configuration and driven by a sub-field gradation method. In an odd-numbered field, three sub-pixels (C , C , C ) constitute one pixel (P) (in a first display mode). In an even-numbered field, three sub-pixels (C , C , C ) constitute one pixel (P) (in a second display mode). The pixel (P) including the sub-pixel (C ) for emitting red (R) and the sub-pixel (C ) for emitting blue (B) selects the sub-pixels (C , C ) alternately as the sub-pixel (C) for emitting green (G) on a field-by-field basis. This displaces the position of the pixel (P) field by field.
