Abstract

A subject of the present invention is a process for preparation of fluorinated ketones corresponding to general formula (I) R —CO—R in which R and R are as defined in claim 1, characterized in that it consists of reacting two carboxylic acids of Formula (II), R —COOH and Formula (III), R —COOH, in the gaseous phase and in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one oxide of an element chosen from the rare earths, thorium, titanium and aluminum.
