Abstract
An arrayed waveguide grating is shown, which comprises at least one input waveguide , a plurality of output waveguides , at least one wavelength compensation output waveguide disposed adjacent to the output waveguide , a channel waveguide array , an input side slab-waveguide , and an output side slab-waveguide . The wavelength compensation output waveguide has a tapering connecting portion connected to the output side slab-waveguide . Thus, the outputted light has a sharp spectrum, thus permitting ready wavelength compensation.
